Just a short note to say a big thanks for the FLT Instructors Re-Registration course. From start to finish I was impressed by all aspects of COTS, the premises, equipment, course literature and information were all of the highest standard, only surpassed by the excellent standard of tuition delivered by Paul, he is a credit to the operation. I won’t hesitate to recommend COTS to anyone that needs training; in fact I’m proud to be able to say that COTS looks after all of Castell Howell’s training needs, and the peace of mind it gives to me that the standard of training delivered is the best in the business.
Well done on a great job,
Martin” - Martin Jones, Director of Transport Operations, Castell Howell Foods Ltd
I just want to say, what another fabulous training course I had with your team. James put across the course so very well and in a way that it didn’t become boring. He made it very enjoyable and he was such a fun Trainer. It was nice to be around him and Joe yesterday. The banter and mood within the place is good spirited and makes the course so much fun. I think it’s brilliant the way he presented the course and as always, I will recommend your team for any training purposes.
Once again, a BIG THANK YOU.
Tell Joe, he owes me a brew!! Oh, and so does Don for that matter.
See you all in 3 years
Best Wishes” - Karen Bebro, Fulfillment Manager, Toast
Having just completed my 3 weeks of resettlement training with you, I felt compelled to put pen to paper and thank you and your team. It is important for military personnel to get really good resettlement training and Commercial Operator Training Solutions, without doubt provide it.
I came on the course with slight trepidation, this is someone who has been in the Army for the best part of 39 years and being possibly blind to what I was letting myself in for. My concerns were quickly allayed with the quality instruction given and perhaps most importantly for me, the interaction with the other students on all of the courses.
I have mentioned the instruction and I can only say that Dave (CPC and ADR), Paul (Cat C+E Refresher) and Don (Counterbalance FLT and Hiab), pitched the training at exactly the right level and I had a really great experience. Knowledgeable, approachable and engaging in equal measure, they are all a credit to your company.
Regards” - Major Steve Ward, Royal Artillery
“Just wanted to drop an email to say ‘Thank You’ to you all at COTs. I am over the moon to have passed my Passenger Operator CPC. It still hasn’t sunk in yet :)”
– Kelly Thomas, Network Management Technician, Passenger Transport Unit, Carmarthen Council
I am sending a quick email to you once again to say a massive massive thank you to yourself firstly for your help with my re-test and also a huge thank you to Joe, Paul and Richard for all their help, tips and dedication – they are an absolute credit to your company and I can’t say a bad thing about them. I will be recommending your company highly and all my CPC will be done through you.
Thank you ONCE AGAIN COTS
Top class service
Regards” - Jason Drewett
I’m sending you this email as I’ve been really impressed with the quality of service provided by your company. Only 2 days after booking, I went on your RTITB Counterbalance FLT refresher course and the training exceeded my expectations.
Commercial Operator Training Solutions delivered a sensibly paced, no nonsense learning programme where Health & Safety legislation and operational use were clearly explained. In addition, useful methods were demonstrated to make forklift operation easier and ways to overcome some workplace specific hazards were suggested and discussed from the instructor’s own work experience.
The instructor James, was friendly and knowledgeable. I was nervous as I’d not driven a lift truck recently but he was able to bring out the best in me through encouragement and precise direction.
If all this wasn’t enough, the COTS dedicated training environment is easily accessible on the outskirts of Swansea, complete with parking spaces and next to a restaurant and a Gregg’s. I mustn’t forget the tea & coffee facilities – a big thanks to James for getting the milk!
Please pass on my gratitude to everyone involved with the training process.
Kind regards” - Gareth Tanner, Motorsport Engineering Student, University of Wales Trinity Saint David
After completing both the Hiab and FLT courses I thought I would write to say a big thank you to you and all your staff for helping me, as I know it has taken a long time to finally get it all sorted out what with trying to work around my leave time. I have received the certificates, cards and confirmation from the DVLA with reference to the completion of my Drivers CPC.
You have a good venue and a good set-up with a large selection of courses to offer, more than I realised. The staff that you have working for you are all great. They have great knowledge in their subject areas and a great sense of humour, which the Military/Ex-Military have and like to see in others. It was a pleasure to do the courses and I look forward to attending another course to complete the last ELC claim in the not too distant future.
Thanks again and could you pass on my comments and thanks to all your team.
Regards” - Andy Caine, Corpral, 2nd Battalion, The Royal Anglian Regiment, The Poacher’s
Just wanted to say thanks to all at COTs for fitting me in at such short notice. A special thanks to Paul for making the course interesting whilst teaching the necessary skills required in such a friendly manner. COTs are certainly on my recommendation list!
Kindest regards” - Dave
“To whom it may concern
My name is SGT Brian Allan. I served in the British Armed Forces for 24 years as a member of the Royal Regiment of Scotland (4 Scots) based in Fallingbostel, Germany. I was the Senior Training SNCO and was responsible for the safe systems in place and coordinating training between the company’s and my training Instructors. I was tasked to set up a training establishment in Germany to train soldiers from 7th Armoured Brigade on combat tactics and vehicle movement, in order to deploy soldiers to Afghanistan.
I was into my last 2 years of service and hadn’t conducted any resettlement at that point so spoke to the resettlement officer and told him of my plans. I then heard of COTS Training through word of mouth from a friend who had just completed a course with them and he told me that all the staff there were very friendly and knowledgeable. So I gave Jason at COTS a call and told him of my plans and he got straight back to me with prices and much more – to be fair he was more of a help to me than my careers consultant. His team of highly motivated people from office staff to instructors, made all soldiers welcome and put us at ease. They booked all accommodation for us (which they didn’t have to do) and gave us good advice on transition to civilian life. They treated us all with respect and likewise us with them.
The instructors gave me good advice on training to become a civilian instructor, as this was the path I wished to take – and with a lot of hard work from the team at COTS, I achieved my aim. I went for my first interview in 23 years and secured the job – there were 30 applicants after the same position, but down to hard work and good constructive advice given by all at COTS, I have since gained confidence within myself. I still phone Jason for advice from time to time.
The team at COTS are outstanding and I would not be where I am today without the hard work they put in to the training that they deliver.
So thank you for all the hard work and commitment and may it continue – highly recommended to all.
Kind regards,” - Brian Allen, Ex SGT 4th Battalion Royal Regiment of Scotland
Just a quick email to thank you and your staff for the past fortnight and helping me get through my Forklift Instructor’s course. The layout of the course was fantastic and the self belief that Paul gave me was second to none. Also thanks to Don for the Gantry Crane and Side Loader training course’s he carried out with me. Paul and Don are held very highly in my estimations and I will definitely be recommending Commercial Operator Training Solutions. Thanks for everything. Kind regards” - Lee Parker, Environmental Health & Safety Co-Ordinator, Altron
I attended a 3 week course from 15th September until 3rd October covering a variety of subjects such as forklift, hiab and ADR. I would just like to pass on my gratitude. I found the subjects extremely well taught with a high amount of professionalism and I have come away from the course feeling well prepared to move into civilian employment.
I would in particular like for you to pass on my thanks to the instructor’s, Don Evans, Dave Studd and Keith Jones, throughout the different subjects taught. They are all very good instructors with a great knowledge of what they teach. I found them very helpful with a good sense of humour which made the lessons easier and more enjoyable to learn.
In future I hope to see you all again as I would very much like to attend any training with your company.
Yours sincerely” – Lance Corporal Lewis Thomas, MOD
Can I ask you to pass on my gratitude to Jason and all of the instructors, whilst I was carrying out my resettlement training. I have had no hesitation in recommending COT Solutions to other service leavers for their training within the transport industry. Again, thank you for all the help I have received in my transition from the forces into civilian life.
Kind regards” - Damian Mitchell
Please pass on a big thank you to all your staff who made the learning process very enjoyable. I have a number of colleagues due to enter their resettlement phase and I will be putting your Company’s name at the forefront of their consideration. Please feel free to forward some media onto me and I will put them in the mess for the staff’s perusal.” - Derek King, Warrant Officer, MOD
Just wanted to say thank you for accommodating me with short notice last week, it was exactly what I needed. Your instructors/tutors were second to none, especially Dave, Gary and Keith. Could you please pass on my thanks to them.
I would definitely recommend anyone to complete their training with your company. Thanks again, kind regards.” - Martin Anthony
Thank you for handing my certificate to Matthew on Saturday. Thank you again for the training. The level of training was outstanding.” – Kelly Eynon, Transport Co-ordinator, Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service
Thanks for organising the courses this week, which I have finished today.
I would like you to say thank you to Malcolm and Paul for all their excellent hard work. I learnt such a lot more this week and thoroughly enjoyed it. Thank you all again, will recommend you to many others who need to do these courses from up my area. Cheers” – Sue Aston, TALLEY
“To whom it may concern,
EPS have used COT Solutions for their training needs for over three years.
All training carried out has been on a very high standard with all instructors having a wealth of knowledge on the course curriculum.
Instructors are courteous and are always at hand to offer help and support, they offer a very professional approach to all training needs and the facilities and vehicles they have to carry out the training are second to none.
Training is carried out in a very relaxed atmosphere which puts all candidates at ease and in my opinion provides even the less confident candidates with the confidence required to succeed with the course’s requirements.
COT Solutions have been instrumental in compiling a bespoke driver CPC course to our company, they also provide fork lift training and ADR training as well as managerial courses for office staff.
I would have no hesitation in recommending this company for any training requirements you may have, they will provide a first class service and you will wonder why you have never used them in the past.” – Phil Jordan, Operations Director, Environmental Practical Solutions Ltd
“To whom it may concern,
My name is Tim Davies and I am employed as Transport Manager at CWM Environmental Ltd in Carmarthen. I have had the pleasure of working with COTS since they started operating in 2009, where they carry out our analysis on both digital and analogue tachographs. They also carry out our Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (Driver CPC) training on an annual basis and now recently started LGV and HGV training with our current employees.
The team are very professional and easy to deal with, always provide a service tailored to our requirements and are always at the end of the phone for any operational support.” – Tim Davies, Transport Manager, CWM Environmental Ltd
“To whom it may concern
I completed Commercial Operator Training Solutions’ (COTS) ‘Certificate of Professional Competence for Transport Managers (Road Haulage)’ distance learning course at the end of 2012 after leaving the British Army. I found their online lessons and printed notes very easy to follow and clear to understand. I was able to contact my tutor for guidance when needed and he was very quick to get back to me. The office staff were always very helpful and booked an exam for me at my local centre. I also attended the three day case study training and found that it really gave me a good grasp of what would be expected on the day of the exam. In summary, I unreservedly recommend COTS and its courses.”
- James Wilson, Branch Manager – Gerrards Cross, Two Men And A Truck
Was lovely to meet you.
Just want to say, I was made to feel so welcome and really enjoyed my Forklift course.
I will definitely recommend your company to anyone and will always use you when we are in need for more training.
I would also like to give extra praise to Don, he is just a fantastic trainer, he’s probably the best trainer I have had the honour to work with. He’s so calm, patient and puts the course across brilliantly. When I was failing miserably at driving backwards and getting frustrated, he would build my confidence back up and make me believe that I will do it. I couldn’t thank him enough, how he kept his calm with me I don’t know, but he was 10/10.
So please pass on this praise to him, he fully deserves it and he’s a huge asset to your company.
Many thanks.” – Karen Bebro, Fulfillment Manager, Toast
“GD Harries & Sons are very pleased with the services provided to us with Driver CPC training by COT Solutions so far. The trainers seem to have had a great deal of experience themselves in the haulage industry which does help when presenting a course as they always revert back to comical experiences that they have had over the years, which does help to get staff listening and take part in the course’s. The booking of courses has been excellent with COT Solutions coming to our premises on Saturday’s so minimum disruption is caused to our business during the week as we then have not got too many drivers off at any given time. They were even prepared to do training for us over the Christmas holiday period as few of our drivers asked if we could organise this as many of them did not want to take the whole time off work during the Christmas and New Year holiday period. We would recommend Jason and all the team at COT Solutions to any potential company or individual looking for CPC training between now and September 2014.” - Steve Harries, Quality & Environmental Coordinator, G.D.Harries and Sons Ltd
“My name is Lee John and I work for Redwood Environmental. I passed my Category C LGV test with you on 24th October and would like to thank everyone involved especially Paul the Instructor for helping me through it.
Thank you all.” – Lee John, Redwood Environmental Services Ltd
