Certificate in Professional Competence for National Goods Vehicle Operations

Commercial Operator Training Solutions Ltd (COTS) now offer the OCR Certificate of Professional Competence for National Goods Vehicle Operation. Currently we are offering the course by way of a two week classroom based event culminating in the examinations on the Friday of the last week. Week 1 will be largely taken up by study of Units 1 and 2 which form the knowledge base of the OCR syllabus. Week 2 will consist of an in depth consideration of the case study materials provided by OCR. This second week would also provide an opportunity for those doing the course by home study to both revise what they have learned and gain a solid preparation for the Unit 4 (case study) exam.

During 2011 we will once again be offering an evening class leading to the March exam. This evening class will take place over two days a week through to the examinations in the first week of March.

CPC National Goods Vehicle Operations refresher/taster

For those who may have taken the CPC examination many years ago, COTS also offer a two day CPC National Goods Operations refresher course. This course may also be of interest to those working in a traffic office and who are responsible for ensuring the legal operation of vehicles and drivers but do not need the full qualification i.e. those holding a Restricted licence who do not need a CPC holder or those traffic supervisors working under a Transport Manager but looking to gain additional knowledge.

This two day course covers employment law, health & safety, drivers’ hours, driver licensing, operator licensing, construction & use and road traffic law and accident procedure.

This course can be offered to individuals or can be tailored to a particular organisation where it can be offered at our premises in Swansea or at your own (suitable) premises anywhere in the UK.
